This is a hidden gem. Food is amazing and only exceeded by the great service from Mariano!

Fantastic place. Currently our favorite Italian spot in town. It is a pretty small restaurant so don't expect to walk in and find a table Thursday-Saturday. I suggest making a reservation at least a day before to be safe, they're always booked, full able to serve high quality Tuscan / Northern Italian food. Don't be fooled by the plaza they're in - often that is the sign of an authentic, owner/chef operated joint. That's what you want.

Opened in December 2015 - the husband and wife team are from Parma, Italy. They are passionate about the foods from Parma and work hard to make sure you enjoy every step of your meal. Little touches of the right ingredients created major flavors. We enjoyed dishes with burrata cheese, Parma ham, truffle sauce, homemade sausage, and hand-rolled pasta. The chef will come out and make Rissoto with truffle sauce that is prepared tableside in a huge wheel of Parmesan cheese. Pretty spectacular stuff. I'm not sure how we made room for a neutella crepes for dessert, but we did! Our server was attentive and very personable. We rate this a 10 out of a possible 10.
August 2018 - we still rate this a 10 out of 10. You'll be surprised that this unremarkable strip mall location reveals an intimate interior with about 15 tables and devine food. -

Six stars as far as we're concerned! Keeps getting better every year. A true gem, faithfully replicating delicious northern Italian dishes. Not to be missed: any pasta (especially the gramigna and the caramelli) the branzino, risotti,... never mind, this is a temple of flavor. Reservations highly recommended.

La Scarpetta was totally booked on Saturday evening--well deserved! Typical outstanding service. Gnudi better than ever. I returned to the delicious osso buco ravioli. Squash flowers were outstanding! Always a dilemma when making decisions from their wonderful menu.
